RELICS AND RITUALS

location | Northeastern University, Boston

date | Spring 2022

exhibitors | Spark Gallery

Exhibited two pieces of mixed media collage and assemblage at the Center for Intercultural Engagement as part of Northeastern University’s Spark Art Exhibition. Titled Relics and Rituals, these works combined found objects and coffee-stained paper, creating intricate, still-life compositions with a touch of “I Spy” curiosity. Each piece reflected a dialogue between personal memory and historic events unfolding around my life, while also serving as a ritual — a way to cycle through and give meaning to the small, collected knick-knacks that carry their own quiet stories. Through layering texture, material, and symbolism, these pieces invited viewers into a reflective and intimate exploration of memory and everyday relics.
